SB Designs specializes in quality custom-built furniture with an industrial farmhouse flare.

Have an idea? Let’s work together to make it happen.

My name is Shauna Buhl and I am a designer, woodworker, and finisher of all things furniture. I love to work with unconventional materials such as metals and pipe and blend them with 100-year old wood for a truly one-of-a-kind look. My training came from asking countless questions to designers and woodworkers and harvesting the “if they can do it, I can do it” mind set. I have always believed that if you start small you will eventually reach your goal. That’s exactly how I started, small. I began with very small, simple projects in the garage. These projects multiplied and allowed me to use creativity to take some bold risks. From the initial napkin sketch to the final coat of stain, I love what I do and feel privileged to make a career out of my passion.

Another passion of mine is the decorating process of a home. For this I sought formal training to back up my real-world experience and natural instinct. I graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Indianapolis with a certificate in Residential Interior Design. I would love to talk everything from paint colors to space planning all within your budget for your next project.

My goal is to assist people to design and create spaces that make them happy, whatever their style might be. I can’t think of a better way to spend my days then to assist someone with the difficult design decisions and offer the technical advice they need to succeed in designing a space.
